2012

I can't believe I haven't posted in so long!
I have been drawing, and painting...I promise! But with the new job I started in September and a promotion in October and now being fully hired on 2 weeks ago, I have NO time to do art- I literally have to force time for myself to draw.
The new job is good, by the way. I use my brain a lot more than I did as the receptionist, which is nice, but at the same time, it leaves me exhausted by the end of the day- the 45-60 minute drive home leaves me barely conscious when I unlock the door at night. I never thought a job could leave me "brain dead" after working 8 hours. So seriously, I don't get much done during the week. On the weekend is when creative things happen, unless the week was too stressful. I can fully admit, that I did not draw or paint this weekend. Lots of TV/movie watching and hanging out with my parents yesterday. I did work on planning out a new munny yesterday, but didn't actually do anything besides plan. Today, has been a lazy day. I'm only on the blog because I saw a comment was posted...it's so sad that because of the new job, I don't have a lot of time to check my emails, or reply to emails or comments or check facebook even. The blog has been neglected. But maybe you guys could hold me accountable? Here's some stuff I have on my "creative pipeline"- if you guys could either shoot me an email, or comment on the blog and just check to see if I've accomplished something in the next few months, that would be awesome:

-knitting a ski mask for Gonzo- it's 1/2 way done
-knitting a pair of socks for Gonzo, and a pair for my mom-haven't even started yet
-water color painting of a relative- it's about 1/2 way done
-knitting the Great American Aran Afghan- 4 squares of 9 complete- it's been a class I've been taking, but I missed last months class and I'm not sure I'm going to continue going (I know most of the stitches, and I don't really feel like there's any sort of connection being made with the other women in the group- 15-45 year age difference doesn't help.)- I do want to finish the afghan though...so it's on the list
-any sorts of commission work that comes up

So yeah, check in, just say "hey" or flat out ask my why I'm being lazy...But it would help if someone could give me a nudge every once in awhile. :)
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and a great new year!
Take care!
